Oh man, I love this country
I called it the land of political absurdity
Full of ludicrousness amid stupidity
First in the pipeline is Mr. Badawi
The country's fifth Perdana Menteri
Hailed from notable ulama's family
In that spirit he created a new Islam Hadhari
The so-called modern Islam resembling Turkey
Some touted it as Islam Ada Hari
When the original Islam turned awry.
He loves to travel in style like big celebrity
Making grand entrance in any opportunity
So he insisted a private jet paid by Treasury
He got it despite hullabaloo by bloggers community
He said the government didn't purchase it out rightly
The government is leasing it from SPM, a GLC
For him, this is a good strategy
By doing that he thinks he can save money
Oh yeah, he thinks people believe his story.
Perth seems to be his favourite city
Last December he opened Nasi Kandar Puteri
And then went on sailing trip with Todt of Ferrari
Back home worst flood hit Johor Kota Tinggi
17 died and 90,000 evacuated in that tragedy
But yet, the jet setting PM was outside the country
He might use remote control key.
Badawi has son-in-law by the name of Khairy
He married Badawi's daughter Nori
Recently both blessed with the baby
That has longest name in the country
I can only remember the last name, Khairy
This young chap is Pemuda Umno deputy
Claimed to have "protection" from Mr. Badawi
Has a big wish to be PM by age of forty
So he is gathering support from Putera and Puteri
At the same time accumulated wealth aggressively
Through ECM Libra and some crony
Media was at his helm through NST
Now he has potent tools – money, media and machinery
And his father-in-law alias Perdana Menteri
Meanwhile Hisham is putting up a new strategy
His keris wielding attracts flak of Malay supremacy
It backfires especially to Chinese community
His reasoning draws conclusion that he is puny
Najib is not convince Hisham to be his deputy
Najib may consider a big mouth Nazri
Provided that Rosmah is okay to work with Nazri
You know why lah, Najib takut bini.
We don't have to elaborate the story
You have to come here to enjoy the absurdity
We have quite a few funny ministers and MP
Such as hilarious Work Minister Mr. Samy
Before Hindraf he represents Indian community
The longest serving minister that heads MIC
In press conference he got agitated quite easily
When Umno conference was held on Deepavali
He said no "open house" as sign of hostility
He twisted the decision maybe after talking to Indrani
This MIC leaders share similar trait and personality
The latest one was Cameron Highland MP Mr. Devamani
He has broken ranks with fellow BN MP
When he accused government not doing enough for Indian community
After meeting with BN Whip, he regretted and say sorry.
Let me continue my story
Well, you probably have heard it already
About the biggest anti-government rally
Not exactly same scale as 98 Reformasi
On Nov 10 more than 40,000 flooded the city
To protest unfair election practice against EC
Dirty ruling party tactics are legendary
Short-notice on Election Day is customary
Just a day before Pak Lah was basking in glory
In annual affair of UMNO general assembly
Full of hypocrisy and puji-memuji
Pak Lah shouted it loud "don't challenge me"
Despite threats and warning from Pak Lah and Khairy
People are defiant and take no heed from Badawi
They chanted God is Great, Daulat Tuanku and Reformasi
November is a month of illegal assembly
School holidays thus parents are quite free.
The rally was given wide publicity
The rally was headlined in Al Jazeera and BBC
Foreign media questioned our brand of democracy
Water cannon and tear gas were fired indiscriminately
Umno leaders are in denial state naturally
Such as Zam who head the Info Ministry
Zam was trembling uncharacteristically
In an interview that becoming laughing stock in the country
Scrambling for words and chew out frantically
He can't censor it as we are in digital technology
You can just Google or YouTube easily.
Well that is one example of political absurdity
What do you expect from half past six menteri
Some are in complete ignorance and dreary
Some will resort to unthinkable publicity
Giving broom as reward never in history
Some will slaughter cows in parliament for kenduri
To celebrate the matrimony of our own Sleeping Beauty
Another stupid joke by backbencher MPs.
You can't find this in your country
A journalist like Michael Backman will agree
So many things to write for your Daily
No wonder he keeps coming here for juicy story
Malay tabloids prefer to write about ghost and celebrity
That's saleable among ordinary
Maybe they got sick of constant spat by political party
They prefer to idolise people like Siti or Mawi
Do you think they care who is their MP?

FORMER Malaysian premier Mahathir Mohamad said on Tuesday he would remain a thorn in the side of his successor in the run-up to elections, and would continue to speak his mind.
Until subdued by heart problems last year, the outspoken Dr Mahathir was the most vocal critic of Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, accusing his government of lacking 'guts' and selling out Malaysian sovereignty.
'I still disagree on several of his policies, mainly allowing Malaysians to be subject to Singapore's wishes,' the 82-year-old told select foreign media in an interview ahead of Wednesday's launch of his new book.
The book published for the first time his personal correspondence with world leaders including US President George W. Bush, on issues ranging from terrorism to Islam and Myanmar.
'We are not as independent as before in terms of our attitude towards international affairs,' said Dr Mahathir, who ruled the nation for 22 years with an iron grip. 'We tend to be very accommodative.'
n the interview, he took Mr Abdullah to task for 'wasting (public) money', dismissed opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim as a 'daydreamer' and asserted that the domestic economy was in 'bad shape' without a rally in commodity prices.
Dr Mahathir said Mr Abdullah's ruling front would be returned with a strong majority in the polls, widely expected by March, but said voters must get rid of dead wood in the coalition.
'But there are certain people whose contribution is negative. These people should not be chosen as candidates,' Dr Mahathir, wearing a collarless Nehru suit, said at his office in the 88-storey Petronas Twin Towers.
'I still support the party and I still believe the party will win with a good majority but one must not confuse support for the party with support for the individual,' he said.
On Mr Anwar, Dr Mahathir said his political enemy would not be a major factor in the coming elections.
'He's not a real factor,' he said. 'There's no more political future for him. If he thinks he's going to be the prime minister, it's daydreaming of the worst kind.'
A charismatic speaker, Mr Anwar was sacked from government in 1998 after falling out with Dr Mahathir.
Mr Anwar then led street protests before he was arrested and later jailed on what he called trumped-up charges of graft and sodomy.
Released in 2004, his corruption conviction means he cannot stand for elected office or hold political office until April this year.
Dr Mahathir, who has a history of heart problem, underwent a heart bypass in September and doctors have advised him to cut down on travel and other activities, including horse-riding.
The operation was Dr Mahathir's second such surgery since 1989 and followed two heart attacks over the past 13 months.
His quarrel with Mr Abdullah came to the fore after the government scrapped Dr Mahathir's idea to replace a causeway linking Malaysia and Singapore with a bridge.
Asked if Mr Abdullah should quit, he replied: 'It is up to him to decide. It's also up to the people to decide. If the people want him to move on, if they think his administration is not benefiting them, they should make a decision.' -- REUTERS
Pakistan: Video shows Bhutto aid suspicious move
Labels: ENGLISH, FOREIGN, HISTORY, UNBELIEVABLEA video posted by an Indian newspaper the Indian Express suggested that an aide to the Benazir Bhutto security team may have clues on the assassination of the former Pak Prime Minister. The video shows the aide, Khalid Shahinshah, who was hired by Bhutto on the recommendation of her security advisor Rahman Malik, ran a finger across his throat which implied slitting the throat.
The video can be viewed here: Shahinshah video
Shahinshah is now on the run since the footage surfaced and is being sought by the authorities to clarify his possible role in the assassination of Bhutto.
He made the "strange gestures" while Benazir was delivering her last address in Rawalpindi last week, and this could provide a clue to her killing, Pakistan People's Party workers said. Khalid Shahinshah made the strange gestures while standing on the dais next to Bhutto while she addressed an election rally.
According to PPP workers, after Bhutto's speech, Shahinshah was in a rush to get inside her bulletproof vehicle and did not hold the door open for the former premier. Shahinshah was usually the last person to get into Bhutto's vehicle and at times, when there was lack of space in the car, he would stand on its footboard.
fter Bhutto's assassination, Shahinshah stayed at Zardari House, her home in Islamabad, for two days. He did not attend Bhutto's funeral in her ancestral village of Naudero in Sindh province and went there only on the third day after her death, The News reported.
On the other hand, the U.S. on Friday said it is not aware of any report in which Osama bin Laden or the al-Qaeda has taken responsibility for the assassination of former Pakistan premier Benazir Bhutto.
"We have not seen this report, if that's out there. And we'll certainly look for it," White House Deputy Spokesman Tony Fratto said of reports of al-Qaeda having claimed the responsibility for slaying of Bhutto.
Immediately after her murder, the Pakistan government had blamed al-Qaeda for the attack by claiming that intelligence agents intercepted a message of congratulation from a Qaeda-linked militant leader Baitullah Mehsud.
Meanwhile the New York Times reported last week that in the wake of Bhutto's assassination the White House was considering approving military operations inside Pakistan to target Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants.
Pakistani military spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad reacted angrily to the report.
"It is not up to the US administration, it is Pakistan's government who is responsible for this country," he said.
The PPP and Benazir’s husband accused the Pakistani government for the murder of his wife. “Elements within the Pakistan government were involved in the killing of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, her husband alleged today and sought the West's support for a UN investigation into the assassination, saying the ongoing official probe is like putting a 'fox in charge of the henhouse', Zardari said.
"Her murder does not end her vision and must not be allowed to empower her assassins. Those responsible - within and outside of government -- must be held accountable," Asif Ali Zardari wrote in a commentary in the Washington Post.
"I call on the United Nations to commence a thorough investigation of the circumstances, facts and cover-up of my wife's murder, modelled on the investigation into the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri," he said.
Zardari, known as “Mr 10 percent’ in Washington and Pakistan, also called on the 'friends of democracy in the West', particularly the US and Britain, to support such an investigation.
"An investigation conducted by the government of Pakistan will have no credibility, in my country or anywhere else," he wrote.
"One does not put the fox in charge of the henhouse."
Zardari also alleged that the government postponed the general elections as they knew that Musharraf and his 'King's Party', a reference to the PML-Q that backs the President, 'were going to be thoroughly rejected at the polls and that the PPP and other pro-democracy parties would win a majority'.
He is today one of the most serious contenders backed by Washington to take on the job as Prime Minister, said the Washington Post on Sunday.
Advertlets Caught Sleeping!!

While Josh Lim was busy talking to The Star about transforming Malaysia into an animation hub, someone over at his company, Josh Lim and Associates, conveniently forgot to renew the domain name for their much publicized Advertlets blog advertising system.
The inconvenience to the masses was that since Advertlets uses a javascript implementation to publish their ads (the code is part of the page for those who don't speak geek), all the sites that had the Advertlets code also became inaccessible or were redirected to a domain expired page. There are about two hundred blog entries about the boo-boo according to Technorati.
The domain name has already been renewed, but only for a year. We'll probably have a similar entry again next year. What we don't seem to understand is the domain would only cost around USD10 at most to renew a year, why not just renew it for 10 years and save everyone the trouble?
“Memang orang kata perempuan Indonesia suka rampas suami orang, tetapi saya berasa kita bukan bertepuk sebelah tangan.

Woman in DVD was Angelina Yam
Health Minister Chua Soi Lek says that his co-star in the latest Barisan Nasional 'sex movie' was a personal friend, a woman he has known for a very short time. Unconfirmed reports say that in situations like this the woman can be identified as Angelina Yam, often truncated to A. Yam. This can be further shortened to just Ayam.
Bolstered by the fact that his wife Datin Seri Wong Sek Hin had faxed a statement to Bernama that she and the family would stand by him, the MCA vice-president and Labis MP said he would not be resigning over the sex DVD.
Chua has also met with Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi and the DPM Najib Tun Razak. Chua became slightly disoriented when the Prime Minister asked if the woman had worked before as Chua's housekeeper. The DPM suggested that Chua learn 'silat goncang' to improve on some of his 'lipat kijang' and 'lipat tanduk' moves which evidently needed some oiling.
Both the PM and the DPM advised Chua that he be more discreet with his dalliances. They gave Chua a few pointers on how to avoid getting caught. This time C4 explosives were not discussed. The DPM promised Chua that if he became Prime Minister he would pass legislation requiring that all imports of spy cameras and CCTV equipment must have Approved Permits or APs. He promised to give Chua the monopoly over spy camera APs if Chua would solidly support him to oust the PM, just after the next elections.
The Prime Minister is not going to ask Chua to resign. The Prime Minister and the DPM hold the view that this is a very personal matter. According to Islam Hadhari, it is better to stand by something than to sit down doing nothing. If the reader finds this confusing, so does the writer.
Since Chua's wife has publicly said that she will stand by him, this also means that Chua will meet again with A. Yam, but possibly in a different hotel using a different room number. The other option for Chua will be to join Chua Jui Meng's church and seek the light to be reborn. But Chua Soi Lek has not hit that kind of rock bottom. He has plenty more wild rice to seed.
